Epocrates Appoints Industry Veteran Rose Crane as New CEO
SAN MATEO, CALIF., March 5, 2009 — Epocrates, Inc., a leading developer of mobile clinical decision support software, today announced the appointment of Rose Crane as the company’s new chief executive officer. Crane joins Epocrates with more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry with a variety of leadership roles, including two company group chairman positions at Johnson & Johnson.

Crane most recently served as company group chairman for the over-the-counter (OTC) and nutritional businesses for Johnson & Johnson. During her tenure, the company acquired Pfizer Consumer Healthcare to become the world’s largest OTC company. Crane is also past-president of the U.S. Primary Care division for Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she was responsible for all sales, marketing, regulatory and compliance operations.
